Blindfold Chess - Play Chess Online Without Seeing the Pieces
Blindfold Chess is a well-known variant of chess. In this variant, the pieces are not visible at all, so you must constantly remember their positions - as if you had blindfolded eyes.
The blindfold game originally dates back to around the 8th century and was played in the Middle East at that time. Moves in this variant are usually made using chess notation.
Here you don't need to use chess notation. Instead, you can move the pieces directly on the board. Just get started and play Blindfold Chess online with your friends now!
How to Play Blindfold Chess Online?
The basic rules of Blindfold Chess match the rules of Chess. The only difference is that the pieces are not visible at all. They are however displayed at the end of the game.
So you just need a high level of concentration and probably a lot of practice. As a small support, however, the possible moves of the pieces are displayed. You can see this in the following image:
In the image above, a pawn was selected, as the possible moves are either two or one square forward.

Similar, but somewhat weaker variants of Blindfold Chess are Dark Chess and Kriegspiel. In both chess variants, not all pieces are invisible, but only those of the opponent.
